Private detective David Cheung offers a cheat's guide to keeping a lover secret.
1. Never use your lover's real name on your mobile phone directory.
2. When talking or emailing your lover use a secret code, such as "swimming" for a date , or a sports club's name for a hotel : "Hey , let's go swimming at the club on Saturday." But make sure to choose an activity that you actually do.
3. Choose a remote location for your date. Islands such as Cheung Chau or Lamma are good. To see a movie , try Cyberport!
4. Never arrange to meet in an MTR station - it's the most likely spot for meeting someone you know.
5. Destroy all the evidence after your secret date , such as movie or ferry tickets , and disguise any lingering fragrance - try going to the sea front for at least 15 minutes for a blast of fresh air.
6. Spend at least half an hour alone after a secret date to clear your head and make sure you don't use the wrong name , mention the wrong event or indulge in the wrong habit.
